Simone Biles won her 20th gold medal in the World Championships when Team USA captured its seventh successive world title on October 4 in Antwerp, Belgium. Simone Biles has been the most acclaimed gymnast to ever compete having won 33 medals in international competitions and the Olympics. Biles did an extremely challenging vault three days before that, which had never been attempted by a female athlete before. previously attempted in a stage in international competition. The feat, originally known under the name of Yurchenko Double Pike, has now been renamed to the Biles II. At the end of her overall competition in the sixth October, this record-breaking gymnast will be competing at her first international competition after 2021. In 1997, the city of Columbus Ohio Simone was taken out of the home of her birth mother who suffered from addiction. She was put in foster care along with her siblings. Their maternal grandfather Air Force veteran Ron and his wife, retired nurse Nellie came in to take care of the children legally adopting Simone when she was 6 along with her baby sister Adria. Simone as well as her siblings were adopted by their great aunt.
